52 Wednesdays :: Water

July 11, 2012

I’m Marla
Sprinkled throughout this journey are the little joys, moments of inspiration, and snippets of life that add color to our human experience. Join me as we embrace the beauty of imperfect perfection, the magic of a beautiful moment, and the endless possibilities of creativity.

It’s late for me tonight so this post is going to be fairly short.  Today Eva and I had a long day of fun, which is energy depletion guaranteed.  I took so many amazing photos today and as much as I would love to be able to do a long post and highlight 10 or so of those images, it’s just going to be one.  The little lady was fully wet three times today and this is a photo from a park here in Portland that reminds me of the gardens next to the Hofburg Palace in Vienna.  I don’t know if she was supposed to be in the fountain, but she LOVED it– and the water bokeh with the sun setting was just heavenly.  Happy Wednesday everyone!

Next in our circle is Pamela with Pamela Joye Photography from Salem, Massachusetts.  You can find her water-themed post here:  http://www.pamelajoye.com/fine-art/52-wednesdays-week-27-water-artistic-portraiture-salem-ma

    I love the slight view of her smile – it shows the amazing fun she was having. So beautiful – and I agree that the water makes for amazing bokeh.

    oh, she was definitely supposed to be in the fountain. this picture is proof 🙂 so much is conveyed in her smile, posture, and the water in her hair. one of those childhood moments that is just golden…then you add that amazing light. i truly adore this. and i feel the love so much that it gets my own throat tight. xo

    this is magical and mischievous -part fantasy yet real…her expression & smile – visible and experienced on such a physical level; think that’s what i like so much – for as surreal as it looks in the background, it’s so super real in the foreground and such a marker of this time in her life.
